The drama surrounding the beef tallow business between "The McBee Dynasty" star Steven McBee Jr. and his former partner Kacie Adkison has been a hot topic for fans. Now, in an exclusive interview, the pair is finally setting the record straight on where they stand today.
Steven confirmed that the ambitious tallow venture, which was a central storyline on the show, ultimately led to a major rift between them. He admitted that the pressure of scaling the business and differing visions for its future created a toxic environment. "We were both passionate, but that passion turned into a lot of conflict," Steven said. "We needed to step back before we destroyed what we had built."
Kacie, for her part, echoed that sentiment but added that the experience was a painful lesson in mixing business with personal relationships. "I thought we could handle it, but the stress of the tallow operation really tested us," she explained. "There were moments I wasn't sure we would ever be friends again."
Despite the rocky road, both confirmed they have since mended fences. They are no longer business partners, but they have managed to salvage their friendship. Steven noted that they now focus on supporting each other from a distance, with Kacie pursuing other entrepreneurial projects. "We are in a good place," Steven said. "We learned that some things are better left as just a friendship."
