Mid-Hudson Valley business calendar for the week of July 20, 2026

The Women's Enterprise Development Center is offering a free two-part course for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. The series, titled "Bookkeeping & QuickBooks: Know Your Numbers, Grow Your Business," will take place on July 21 and July 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 3 Neptune Road in Poughkeepsie.

The course is designed to help participants understand the basics of bookkeeping and how to use QuickBooks software effectively. The first session on July 21 will cover foundational bookkeeping principles, including tracking income and expenses. The second session on July 28 will focus on using QuickBooks to generate reports and manage cash flow. Organizers say the goal is to give business owners the tools to make informed financial decisions.

Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Attendees should bring a laptop or tablet if possible. For more details, call the Women's Enterprise Development Center at 845-363-2400.
