Police chase ends in multiple crashes after business burglarized in OC, authorities say

A police chase involving suspects from a commercial burglary spiraled into a chaotic series of crashes in Orange County early Thursday, leaving multiple people injured and a widespread search underway.

The incident began when authorities responded to a reported burglary at a local business. Officers located two suspect vehicles fleeing the scene and initiated a pursuit. The high-speed chase concluded violently when the fleeing cars collided with at least one other vehicle, causing a significant multi-car accident at an intersection.

Emergency medical services transported several individuals from the crash scene to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The exact number and condition of those hurt, including whether any were suspects or uninvolved motorists, has not been officially released.

Following the crash, the suspects fled the wreckage on foot. A perimeter was established and a dense search operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including K-9 units, is actively working to locate them. The burglary and the circumstances leading to the pursuit remain under active investigation. Authorities are asking residents in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
