A West Hartford entrepreneur who first appeared on a local news program in 2022 says his golf-related business has more than doubled in size over the past two years. Alec Lorenzo, who was just starting out as a young business owner during his initial television interview, returned to the show this week to share an update on his growing company.
Lorenzo told host Dennis House that the demand for his services has surged, driven largely by word-of-mouth and a steady increase in interest from local golfers. He credited the community's support and a focus on customer experience for the rapid expansion. "It's been a wild ride," Lorenzo said. "We went from a small operation to needing more staff and more equipment just to keep up."
The business, which specializes in custom golf equipment and fittings, has also expanded its physical footprint. Lorenzo noted that he recently moved into a larger facility to accommodate the growing client base. He added that the company is now serving customers from across the region, not just West Hartford.
When asked about the future, Lorenzo said he plans to continue growing at a sustainable pace and hopes to introduce new product lines later this year. He also encouraged other young entrepreneurs to take the leap, even if it feels risky at first. "You just have to start somewhere," he said.
