Business Alum Joins Hearing Aid Manufacturer as Supply Chain Director

Garland Wong, a 2020 MBA graduate from Cal State Fullerton's College of Business and Economics, has been appointed as the director of supply chain at Audien Hearing, a manufacturer of hearing aids. In his new role, Wong will oversee the flow of materials and finished goods for the company, a task that requires a careful balance between hard data and creative problem-solving.

Wong noted that in the supply chain field, being grounded in data is essential, but so is allowing room for testing and exploration. He credited the MBA program at CSUF with preparing him to rise to the challenge. The program, he said, provided the analytical foundation needed to make informed decisions while also encouraging the kind of strategic thinking that allows for innovation.

Audien Hearing focuses on making hearing aids more accessible and affordable. Wong's background in business and logistics is expected to help the company streamline its operations and improve its distribution network. His appointment reflects a growing trend of companies bringing in specialized talent to manage increasingly complex global supply chains.
