CARMEL, Ind. — One of Carmel’s oldest businesses is shutting its doors next month, putting an end to a 38-year legacy. According to a Facebook post from store owner David Rennard, Carmel Music Center will officially close in February. The beloved music store has been a staple in the community, providing instruments, lessons, and a gathering place for local musicians.
In his announcement, Rennard expressed gratitude for the support the store has received over the years from customers and the community. He reflected on the many memories created within the walls of the center, from music lessons to live performances. The decision to close comes after a challenging period for small businesses, exacerbated by the ongoing effects of the pandemic.
As the closure date approaches, loyal customers are encouraged to visit the store one last time to celebrate its rich history and take advantage of any final sales. The end of Carmel Music Center marks the closing chapter of a significant part of Carmel's cultural landscape.
